Who will be editing my manuscript? Nathan Blow is the scientific editor at CSE and he oversees the editing of all manuscripts, cover letters, and other content at CSE. Nathan is also the primary manager on all editorial projects at CSE.
What format should I expect my manuscript to be in after editing? All manuscripts and other content are editing in Microsoft Word with track changes. This means that you will be able to see all edits that have been made as well as any comments or suggestions. In addition to this, you will also receive a 3-5 page summary report document detailing the editing that was done and making suggestions on your manuscript. What does substantive editing really mean? Substantive editing is the most important part of what we offer at CSE. We go beyond language editing and work with our authors to improve manuscripts by using our knowledge to focus your manuscript on the most crucial experiments and explanations to enhance your studies impact. It is this service that will truly separate your manuscript from the rest, and this is the reason that we offer substantive editing for all levels of service.
What is the expected turnaround time? For all levels of service, we will attempt to turnaround your manuscript within 72 hours of submission. If there could be any reason for delay, you will be notified immediately.
Is it possible to do a rapid turnaround? At the moment, we do not offer a rapid turnaround service for authors. We need 72 hours to ensure that your manuscript is edited to the highest level.
Are you able to do larger projects? We enjoy undertaking larger projects or multiple manuscripts from a single source at the same time. If you are looking at such a project, contact us directly to discuss.
